Festival season is one of the highlights of our year. 🎹
In July 2026 our students performed at the SSP Sea to Sky International Piano Music Festival and Competition, sharing the stage with young pianists from across the region. Standing in front of the Tom Lee Music and Steinway & Sons backdrop, certificate in hand, is a moment every young musician remembers.
We are proud to share that one of our pianists came home with the second place trophy in their category. Months of careful preparation, repertoire choices, and practice paid off on the day.
Around the same time, our students also took part in the BC Conservatory of Music (BCCM) Music Festival (July 2 to 16, 2026) and received Music Festival Awards. You can see those photos on our BCCM page.
Festival performance is a natural extension of our lesson and exam program. It gives students a real audience, constructive feedback from experienced adjudicators, and the confidence that comes from preparing a polished program.
